Hi. This is my first post so please forgive me if I’m not phrasing this correctly but here goes. I’ve been in the HR profession for seven years. It can be isolating, I work independently most of the time (no team, just me). I’m wondering if all HR Professionals have to deal with just plain odd requests or circumstances. In my career, I’ve had: 1. Employee uses his Dad’s SIN instead of his own and then asks me to fix it with CRA. 2. Constant requests for payroll deduction loans due to (insert sob story here). 3. No one knows how to do anything anymore. I.e., Manager: please create this document. Employee with a business degree: you didn’t train me, I don’t know how. Maybe I am just really burned out. Are y’all dealing with just equally weird stuff daily or is it just me?
