Passed the SHRM-CP[N/A]

I took the SHRM-CP yesterday and received a preliminary pass! Like many others I stalked Reddit almost daily for study tips so I thought I’d share some of my experience.

  • I used the SHRM-CP/SCP All in One Exam Study Guide with the practice tests and took the test before I even opened the book to see where I was at and what I would need to study.

  • Pocket Prep was my absolute best friend. I took quizzes every single day and made sure to read the correct answer reasoning anytime I got one wrong. I went through all 1000 questions, then reset it and started doing them again.

  • This month I slowed down on studying (still took the quizzes) but only opened the book a few times to review areas and concepts I was struggling with still. I watched a lot of the YouTube videos HR Exam Prep with Angela.

Like everyone else who has taken the exam has said, don’t memorize definitions but understand concepts. I don’t think I had a single question about a law A big tip I got from someone else on this subreddit was to take your 15 minute break at the end of the first section before moving onto the next section and taking away from that timer.

With all that being said, I would really love to see some of the answers for this exam because a couple of questions were a doozy 😂

Now I wait for the official results, has anyone ever heard of a pass turning into a fail 😅
