We have a relatively new staff member that we have other staff members complaining about her BO, specifically what is presumably a vaginal odor. It is worst in the bathroom, which is a shared bathroom with other offices, but sometimes the odor is noticeable just in close quarters.
We have some staff going to bathrooms in other areas of the building, but obvs we can't suggest/expect that (and have sometimes in the past had other offices frustrated at our staff/patients using "their" restroom - though the restrooms are technically all shared, owned by the building).
So we were already discussing whether/how to bring this up to her. But now it's come to a head as another office that shares "our" restroom put an air freshener there. Which would seem like an obvious move, except that our patient population it's highly reactive to fragrance so we have had to institute (years ago) a fragrance free policy, we have had to specifically treat patients having reactions to febreze spray and then handled ADA/legal threats related to that.
I've read other threads on BO complaints, but none of them this specific odor. Has anyone had this situation? Had this conversation? I'm pretty new in this role and could use some guidance!
